YOSHIKATSU

葡萄とワインの瑞々しさを表すため、筆や墨、インクで描いた。聖書の図像を参照すると、杯を掲げる天使や農夫の姿が見つかり、人間的な遊び心が読み取れる。スペインやアイルランドの写本に見られるようなキリスト教が土着の信仰に覆い被さった様子を参考にしつつ制作し、最終的には現代や自身へとローカライズさることとなった。シンボルマークはは一つに絞り、タイプフェイスは軽やかな印象を目指した。

To capture the freshness of grapes and wine, I painted using brushes, ink, and fountain pen. Referring to biblical imagery, I found figures of angels and farmers raising their cups, from which a sense of human playfulness also emerged. I drew inspiration from manuscripts in Spain and Ireland, where Christianity was layered over local beliefs, yet the work ultimately became localized to the present and to myself. The symbol mark was distilled into a single form, while the typeface was designed to convey a light, buoyant impression.
