展覧会のための案内看板

展覧会「血の塩／Salt of the Blood」と「余の光／Light of My World」は対になっているプロジェクトだった。東京と福知山で開催され、両方の展覧会で使われたのがこのネオンサイン。展覧会タイトルの日本語部分をネオンサインで制作し会場に掲げた。配線を意識しながら文字を作ると楷書体から崩れ、行書体や草書体などに似た筆記の流れに任せた造形になっていった。

The exhibitions Salt of the Blood and Light of My World were conceived as a pair. One was held in Tokyo, the other in Fukuchiyama. What linked the two was this neon sign. The Japanese part of each exhibition title was rendered in neon and installed in the venue. When forming the letters while thinking about the wiring, the shapes slipped away from regular script, and gradually followed the flow of brush-written styles—semi-cursive, cursive—taking on the rhythm of handwriting itself.
