展覧会のためのポスター

箔押し機を導入して初めての仕事。一つの身体にデザイナーと印刷工人の二つの職能が入るとこうなる。
印刷しながら紙面のバランスを見ながら「ナリ」で箔押しを行なった。
テキスタイルデザイナー、お菓子職人、編組作家、それぞれに「心地よい配置」を心がけるように依頼。全て異なる位置、回数で箔が押され、それぞれの個性が定着したのだった。

The first job after bringing in the foil-stamping press. When the roles of designer and print worker inhabit a single body, this is what happens.
While printing, I watched the balance of the page and pressed the foil “by feel.” Textile designers, a confectioner, a weaving artist—each was asked to aim for a “comfortable placement.” The foil was pressed in different positions, in different numbers of times, and in each, a distinct individuality settled onto the surface.
